Every competitor must stay till the end of their session. All competitor medallions will be presented by the judges after the final has drilled.

Please ensure your daughter comes with the following:

• drink bottle (water only)
• slip-on shoes
• jacket - ideally Gladesville Ryde club jacket
• nut-free snack
• small activity such as colouring (pencils only), sticker book etc
• small towel or non-slip blanket to sit on if it is cold.
• NO PHONES / DEVICES ALLOWED

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Registration will open 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of a section and will close 15 minutes before the start time and marshalling will commence straight away.
• Girls must arrive ready to perform - no hair or make up to be done in the hall. 
• As each girl enters the marshalling area prior to the start of their section, they will be checked to ensure their performance wear / leotards, hair style, hair accessory and make up complies with the BJP rules.
• There are no scheduled combined sections; the word “AND” denotes that age groups should arrive at the same time. Age groups would only be combined if insufficient competitors arrived on the day.
• Sections will run for example: 5 year heats, 6 year heats, 5 year semis, 6 year semis, 5 year final, 6 year final.
• If there are 42 or more girls in an age group, semi-finalists will be chosen and so some girls may only perform once.
• The marshalling areas are STRICTLY for competitors and associates only - no parents. Girls will be looked after by Associates from across our Zone in the marshalling area.
• There is to be no hairspray or aerosols used withing the building.
• There will be a canteen running with drinks and snacks, however no food to be consumed inside the venue. Water only in the venue.

BJP GROOMING RULES FOR JUNIORS 5 – 12 YEARS

• Skin-coloured mesh or plain tights may be worn under leotards.
• No tan of any description, face or body glitter is allowed.
• No eye make-up of any type is allowed.
• A minimal amount of foundation, lipstick and blush may be worn.
• No false nails or nail polish is allowed. This includes acrylic, stick-on, gel coatings or any other kind.
• No jewellery is allowed, including earrings. (If ear studs cannot be removed they must be covered with skin-coloured tape).
• No teasing of hair, high or wide styles or false hair pieces are allowed.
• Hair may be curled or straight and may be worn loose, tied in bunches, ponytail, or half up/half down.
• Neutral coloured hair pins and elastics only may be used to secure the hair neatly.
• Only ONE type of hair accessory is allowed and this must be either the BJP bow, scrunchie, or headband purchased from the Physie Shop, or a single plain ribbon (no wider than 2.5 cm). 
• The single ribbon may be used to tie a bow or as a plain headband to keep hair back.
